AI and Humans. On the Responsibility of Knowledge - Yoshinobu Miyake

It is my pleasure to recommend Rev. Yoshinobu Miyake’s impressive book On AI and humans: On the Responsibility of Knowledge. The author’s broad knowledge of ethics and theology are evident in his broad overview of the challenges posed by Generative Artificial Intelligence and the appropriate moral and religious responses. This includes a comparative study on Biblical teaching (primarily from a Christian perspective) and Shinto religious ethical perspectives. In so doing, Rev. Miyake not only provides a philosophical framework for addressing these challenges but also introduces many who are unfamiliar with Shinto teaching, to its wisdom and pertinence to the subject at hand.
