Ana Barbulescu, PhD, has been a lecturer since 2005 at University of Bucharest, Department of Jewish Studies. Her research interests are in Second Temple Judaism and the religious groups of the period, anti-Judaism in Antiquity, the Jewish roots of the Christian movement, and on theoretical issues regarding the process of identity construction, and the strong connection that links collective identity and the mnemonic narratives that communities share.
Since 2006, she has been a researcher at the Elie Wiesel Institute for the Study of the Holocaust in Romania.
