Der kleine Grenzverkehr - Erich Kästner

Erich Kästner's novel is a love story between a young man from Berlin who is interested in art and an Austrian lady who acts as a chambermaid. In the castle, the count's family disguised themselves as staff and served a wealthy American couple during the Salzburg Festival. The Americans see through this, but don't begrudge the count the comedic game. This creates misunderstandings and funny situations.
