Poezia nu traieste cu onoruri. Un poem adevarat este rastignirea unui suflet. Traducatorul de poezie este acela care se simte sortit sa spuna: „Lasati poetii sa vina la mine.”

Honours do not make a poem. Any true poem is, in a way, the crucifixion of a soul. The translator of poetry is the man who feels he is destined to say: “Let the poets come to me.”
