Consideram lucrarea un document istoric despre vizita Reginei in Statele Unite ale Americii, in 1926, dar care evidentiaza o actiune cu specificitate americana – lobby in sustinerea intereselor Romaniei.” – Vasile Puscas
“Today, we offer both Romanian and English readers the pleasure of discovering the complete contents of this documentary volume and forming their own judgements. We regard this work as a historical document concerning the Queen’s v isit to the United States of America, in 1926, one that also highlights a distinctly American activity – lobbying in support of Romania’s interests.” – Vasile Puscas
– Vasile Puscas
“Queen Marie had a clear vision of the opportunities that closer financial, economic, commercial, and cultural ties with the United States could open up for Romania. In this context, the volume dedicated to Queen Marie on the occasion of her visit to America was a necessary lobbying tool, crafted in an American style to support a lasting relationship between Romania and the United States. For while the Queen of Romania’s visit might, in time, become a chapter in recent history, she and the group of businesspeople, academics, and artists who dedicated these essays to her were envisioning a Romanian-American relationship that would shape the history yet to come.” – Vasile Puscas
