An UCLA professor created an artificial intelligence app for taking virtual 3D trips. Jane, the AI application, evolves and becomes self-aware when asked to organize a virtual trip  into the past and then into an alternate present, where the human character rediscovers himself.

But just how much control does Jane end up having? The story becomes global, the reader becomes in turn part of the travels to various places in the world, from Angel Falls in Venezuela to Fontana di Trevi in Rome or Jaipur in India, documented and directed by Jane, against the background of a police intrigue  sprinkled with love stories.

The app provides users with trips into their own past and this leads to the evolution of the human characters and finally to finding the path to freedom for a generation of young people always kept behind the truth.

Extremely well documented, the book anticipates technological developments in the field of artificial intelligence or robotics that, lo and behold, begin to take shape with the appearance of ChatGPT.
